Our Story

This is how our fairy tale began...

Once upon a time, there were 2 people living separate lives. She (Fairy Alma) was a never-married college professor (uh, never wanted to be married, that is). He (Prince Gareth) was a divorced father of two grown daughters not looking to be married. Mutual friends of these two aforementioned unmarried individuals thought that these two unmarried people should meet.

She did not want to do this. After a full year of denying her best friends good intentions, she finally gave in just to keep the peace.

He was ignorant of the whole thing until the time came that she agreed to meet him. She insisted that her friends accompany her to the date. (Three against one.)

So, much to her surprise, he was ok! He was funny and attractive. He also showed up on his Harley. Everyone had a nice evening. The rest is history.

About two years after they met and began dating, they began to discuss the "M" word. Gasp!!! After many months of discussing this word, and all it encompassed, they decided that perhaps it might be a good idea. Surprise of all surprises, she proposed to him. He agreed. They did not see any reason to wait and picked a date and put things in motion.

And so begins the rest of their lives ... together.
